Kindness Kits

Assemble bags filled with toiletries and food to give to a person who is asking for help on the street.

Restrictions: Space for assembly line.

A Kindness Kit can include some or all of these items:

  • Bag to hold the materials for each Kindness Kit
  • Lotion- travel sized
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Travel sized shampoo and conditioner
  • Hand Sanitizer- wipes or small bottles
  • Gum – minty flavor (small/individual packs)
  • Snack
  • Chapstick
  • Socks
  • Tissue packet (small/individual packs)
  • Washcloth
  • Masks
  • Water bottle
  • Index card to write personal card/message
  • Markers, crayons or pens to write personal message on index card

  1. Set up items into an assembly line
  2. Place one of each item in a bag.
  3. Make a card for recipient and put into the bag.
  4. Volunteers should put completed bags in their cars to give away to individuals who are asking for help, in lieu of (or in addition to) giving money. These bags contain items that someone with limited resources can use for immediate needs.
