The Jewish Connection Network, an agency of The Associated, seeks a Senior Associate for Volunteer Experiences to join the team. The Jewish Connection Network’s mission is to empower and support individuals to explore their own Jewish journeys—inspiring them to form lasting connections to a diverse, inclusive and vibrant Baltimore Jewish community. Volunteerism is a powerful way that our constituents translate their Jewish values into action and helps unengaged community members strengthen friendships. This position is a key contributor to the Jewish Connection Network’s service work and young adult engagement strategy.

This is a full-time, hybrid position that requires a minimum of two days per week in the office, with other occasional nights and weekends.

In this role, you will:

  • Guide a cross-sectional team of colleagues in creating a service-focused strategy for engaging young adults in the Jewish community.
  • Lead an annual large-scale, community-wide service project.
  • Partner with young adult leaders to run their own ongoing service groups, which operate through a peer-engagement model.
  • Run a committee of volunteers who help organize service opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with partner organizations and recruit service project participants.
  • Plan smaller-scale service projects that meet the needs expressed by our nonprofit and school partners.
  • Provide support as applicable for programmatic initiatives within the Jewish Connection Network.
  • Meet with young adults one on one to help them explore their Jewish friendships, personal Jewish choices, and communal connections, including ways to live their Jewish values through service.
  • Contribute to a dynamic team and evolving organization that thinks strategically about engagement in the modern Jewish community.

What we’re looking for:

A mission-aligned dynamic self-starter who can proactively plan and implement the agency’s initiatives for young adults and community service. You are eager to organize, improve processes, learn, and create meaningful opportunities through a service lens. You have proven experience administering programs, supporting projects or events, and engaging with volunteers. You are excited about contributing to an innovative organization and supporting community members on their diverse Jewish journeys.

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in project management or event planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work in an energized, innovative environment with high standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in an energized environment.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive Jewish community.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Access to consistent transportation.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, including paid holidays.
