Affordable Produce Delivery Team at Civic Works

Help deliver free, local produce (via car or bicycle) to older adults in Baltimore City through Civic Works’ Affordable Produce Delivery Program (APDP). Civic Works provides education, skill development, and community services to vulnerable populations throughout Baltimore.

Commitment

2-3 hours on Thursday or Friday mornings (9:00 – 10:30 a.m.) or Wednesday afternoons (1:00 – 4 :00 p.m.)

Restrictions

Volunteers must be able to lift 15 lbs, walk up and down steps, and have a working cell phone with BlueTooth/hands-free capability and GPS. Volunteers need a vehicle that can hold 5-10 boxes (each box is about 15″x11″x7″). Volunteers must also be at least 16 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and have car insurance.
