Good Deeds Month: Young Adult Volunteer Experience with YAD

YD GDD

Join The Associated’s Young Adult Division (YAD), in partnership with the Jewish Connection Network, at Second Chance for a hands on volunteering experience. You’ll work alongside an incredible team of people getting a fresh start and learning new skills for employment.

Physical labor is involved! This includes sorting and stacking doors and windows, preparing materials for pricing and merchandising, measuring kitchen cabinets for condition and/or value, and sorting books for condition and/or value. Safety equipment will be provided by Second Chance at the facility.

At the end of the project, you’ll wrap up with a short team reflection to share stories and celebrate the impact of your work.

Volunteers must fill out the online waiver before April 6. If you cannot fill out the form online, there will be an opportunity to fill out a paper copy at Second Chance before the project begins.

Please dress accordingly: clothing will get dirty and the warehouse is not climate controlled. Long pants, close-toed shoes and full-length shirts are required.

This opportunity is possible thanks to support from Repair the World.
