This program is all about bridging gaps and fostering a community that endures. Together with The Network, YAD, and Repair the World Baltimore, volunteers will meet up at B’nai Israel Congregation to learn about historic Jonestown, from its rich Jewish history to its present-day joys and challenges. Then, volunteers will divide up and participate in three projects – community gardening, tiling and grouting mosaic flower pots, and a neighborhood clean up – benefitting the mission of Earl’s Place transitional housing. Volunteers will learn more about Earl’s Place and how it serves the Jonestown neighborhood, and they will get a chance to socialize with its residents.
For volunteers age 22-39 years old.
