Cool Grandparents School: Shavuot Edition

Grandparents Ice Cream

A pre-Shavuot gathering just for grandparents

Up your Shavuot memory-making game at this active learning session designed for grandparents only:

  • Baltimore ice cream aficionado and grandparent Bryan Soronson will demonstrate how to host an ice-cream tasting for your family – complete with samples from a range of regional ice cream brands and insider knowledge about the history of ice cream and the influence of Jewish ice cream makers in America.
  • Rabbi Tyler Dratch of Beth Am Synagogue will explain how dairy foods became a thing for Shavuot and highlight age-appropriate activities beyond ice cream that you can use at home to introduce your grandkids to Shavuot.
  • Check out exhibits and resources in the recently renovated Jewish Museum of Maryland.
