The Jewish Connection Network (The Network) is proud to sponsor the Access Project, partnering with Jewish organizations to help make programs and spaces more accessible for everyone. We support access to ASL interpreters and offer guidance on closed captioning for live and virtual events, adding captions to videos, and understanding Maryland Relay (a free public service that allows people, unable to use a standard telephone, to both make and receive calls.) and its services.
Over the years, we’ve helped make annual meetings, lectures, graduations, Holocaust education materials, and so much more accessible for members of the Jewish community who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing.
We also offer sensory kits that organizations can borrow, filled with fidgets, noise-canceling headphones, weighted blankets, and other supportive tools. Have low-vision students or participants? We can help you explore tactile graphics and other accessibility options too.
The Network also provides no-cost advocacy for Jewish students seeking school supports, along with help identifying the right resources. However you’re looking to build access and inclusion, we’re here to help you connect to Jewish Baltimore.
