Being a grandparent can bring so much joy, and when your grandchild has a disability, it can also come with experiences, questions, and emotions that not everyone understands.
Join us as we kick off this year’s Special Needs Grandparents Group with a special presentation from Dr. Betsy Diamant-Cohen, creator of Mother Goose on the Loose, an award-winning early-literacy program that uses play to support child development, strengthen caregiver-child relationships, and make learning fun.
There will also be time to connect, socialize, and share with other grandparents who understand the unique joys and challenges of this journey.
The Special Needs Grandparents Group will continue to meet monthly, alternating between in-person and Zoom gatherings. Select sessions will feature guest presenters on topics of interest to grandparents of children with disabilities, including additional programs with Dr. Diamant-Cohen.
