Meet Staci Weber, The Network’s Hunt Valley/Sparks Parent Connector and one of the warmest community builders you’ll ever meet. A natural host who loves bringing people together, Staci blends her creativity, humor and genuine care into everything she does—whether she’s planning a neighborhood Shabbat, organizing a story time in the park or welcoming new friends into her home. Get to know the woman behind the smiles, coffee and mahjong tiles!
Hi! I’m Staci, and I live in Hunt Valley with my partner, Jonathan, and 3-year-old daughter, Zoe. After being city dwellers for 15-plus years, we are now embracing Baltimore County and all the hidden gems that come with more rural living.
I love party planning and hosting, a good workout session, Buy Nothing and being outdoors —exploring local parks, playing in my garden and summer weekends at the JCC. Professionally, I’ve spent my career in higher education and nonprofits.
I love a good walk and talk with friends, my iced coffee habit is really just an excuse to use fun flavored creamers, I get excited about things very easily, and I am preparing for retirement by learning Mah Jong (next up is pickleball!)
Also, I have a few single girlfriends who are super good catches—so I’ll use this as an opportunity to seek out Jewish single men for them — 35-50 years old, local to Baltimore County (as I’m not looking for these friends to relocate if the relationship works!)
I lived away from family for most of my adult years, so friendships (“framily”) became so important to me during this time as a way to feel connection and community. Now, I cherish my old friendships and welcome new ones as I navigate motherhood and being in the sandwich generation.
When I moved back to Baltimore County, I knew I wanted (needed) to find a community for myself and my family. When I was asked to be a Connector, it was the perfect opportunity at the perfect time—a true win-win! I’d get to build a Jewish community for myself and my family and help other parents find their community, as well!
Through this work, my husband and I have been more intentional about bringing Jewish values and holidays into our lives and home. We went apple picking for Rosh Hashanah, hosted a Sukkot story time at a local park, and filled our house with friends for hamentaschen baking and Hanukkah celebrations. Friday night Shabbats with friends and family have become a tradition that I couldn’t have imagined two years ago. I love that the Connector community (and Jewish preschool) are the foundation of my daughter’s Jewish journey.
My husband is from New England and we met in Boston, so apple picking is up there. We love Oregon Ridge and all that it offers year-round but fall there is particularly beautiful. I’m also very happy cozied up by our fire pit talking and hanging with the barred owls that live in the woods behind our house.
I’d also be remiss not to mention my daughter’s birthday—she’s a fall baby! Celebrating her and getting to party plan, host and spend time with people I love most is high up there for best fall activities.
Staci’s story is a perfect example of how community and connection can blossom right where you are. Whether you’re new to the area, raising a young family or just looking to make meaningful friendships, The Network can help you find your people and your place in Jewish Baltimore.
