Lend a helping hand this holiday season
Help meet vital community needs this holiday season by volunteering with our nonprofit partners. Your time and support can help individuals experiencing food and housing insecurity enjoy warm meals, art workshops and more. This is a perfect volunteering opportunity to bring along friends and family.
Volunteers (8+) are needed to help prepare and plate food, set up, clean up, and socialize with clients. Help clients shop for clothing, toiletries, and other items at the Paul’s Place marketplace after the meal.
Volunteers (16+) are needed to reheat, serve a meal, and socialize with families residing at Hannah More Family Shelter. An activity hour will also take place, with help from Hannah More staff. Hannah More Family Shelter is a comprehensive, short-term shelter for families in Baltimore County.
Volunteers (18+) are needed to reheat, serve a meal, set up, clean up, and socialize with families residing at Sarah’s Hope Mount Street Family Shelter. An activity hour will also take place, with help from Sarah’s Hope staff. Sarah’s Hope is a comprehensive, short-term shelter for families in Baltimore City.
Volunteers (14+) are needed to reheat, serve a meal, set up, clean up, and socialize with women and children residing at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center. My Sister’s Place Women’s Center is a day resource center for women and children in Baltimore City.
Volunteers (16+) are needed to help with meal service, including setting up, preparing food, cleaning up, washing dishes, and socializing with clients at Beans and Bread. Beans and Bread is a day resource center providing case management, healthcare services, and other support to adults in Baltimore City experiencing housing insecurity.
Volunteers (14+) are needed to prepare and plate food, set up, clean tables and socialize with clients at Our Daily Bread Employment Center. Our Daily Bread Employment is a day program providing case management, legal and employment assistance, hot meals, and other services for adults in Baltimore City in need.
Volunteers (8+) Help with meal service, including setting up, reheating food, cleaning up, washing dishes, and socializing with residents at The Baltimore Station-West Street. The Baltimore Station-West Street is a residential therapeutic treatment facility in South Baltimore for veterans and other adults experiencing housing insecurity and poverty.
